About Visitor Visas
These are temporary visas for applicants who are genuine visitors to Australia.
Visitor Visa Subclasses
- Subclass 600 – Visitor: This subclass Allows genuine visitors to travel to Australia for various reasons. There are four streams – Tourist, Sponsored Family, Business Visitor and Approved Destination Status.
- Subclass 601 – Electronic Travel Authority: An electronically recorded visa available to certain passport holders which can be applied for at the time of booking or at the time of boarding to travel to Australia.
- Subclass 602- Medical Treatment: Allows the holder to travel to or to remain in Australia for medical treatment or a related purpose.
- Subclass 651 – Evisitor Tourist: An authority for travel to Australia for short term tourism or business visits available to holders of an eVisitor eligible passport. (Applicants who are eligible for an eVisitor visa must apply for a subclass 651 visa, even though their passport is also an ETA eligible passport.)
