Overview
The Prospective Marriage subclass 300 visa is a visa that allows you as a non-citizen to come to Australia to marry your Australian citizen, permanent resident or ENZC sponsor.
Once you marry you can make combined applications for the temporary Partner Subclass 820 and the permanent Partner subclass 801 visas. Normally the permanent partner visa cannot be granted less than two years after applications have been lodged and if the relationship with their sponsor ends before either visa is granted, then it will be refused. There are some exceptions to this, including the family violence provisions.
